We can't get any cell coverage out here. If this gets posted, just wanted everyone to know that the kids had a blast at Sol Duc. They are now tucked safely in at Camp David Jr. and are sleeping soundly. A very good day.
Dinner is now served. Sol Duc Hot Springs was a popular spot. Photos later...
The Dungeness Creameru was awesome. The cows tried eating our coats. -Lucas
The electric fence was shocking. It was fun. -Gabriel.
Bird reports: I'm really having fun.
I liked feeding the cows. Ella Mae
Sarkus has gone crazy. This reported by his friends sitting around him.
Stella has named the cows: Noodle, Spicey and Pumpkin and Hyperbean. She has their pictures.
Upon seeing a sick calf, Sarah at the dairy. Quoted her dad: "When you've got livestock, you're also gonna have deadstock."

A rather private matter: The kids now know what the little green rubber rings that that see laying around are for: pig castration. I wasn't counting on that particular lesson.
Tomorrow we eat eggs from happy chickens. Can't wait.

Moo

Learned something new!

Cutting off the testosterone in a bacon-producing pig makes for a
tasty bacon. Nash's uses rubber bands to achieve this. Imagination!

Our first stop: Nash's Organic Farm

Approaching our first stop-Nash's Farm. It's overcast but not raining. Everyone is in great spirits, though some of the kids seem unusually quiet. I think they're tired from getting up so early. What are they thinking as our adventure unfolds? We will ask them a little later on and then post their thoughts.

Weirdies

Jumping on a boat

We're on a BOAT!

Will we make the ferry?

The driver's taken a scenic route. This just adds to the adventure...I
think..

Test photo - da bus

The chuckwagon is packed to the gills.

And we're off! We need a good name for the bus. Suggestions?

Getting on the bus. Woohoo!
